THE CRAFTY BADGER´S GROUP

At some point during the UK’s third lockdown, a letter addressed to Dan Bridge arrived at his house. It was not a long letter, but it did contain two very specific instructions: Write, record and release an album; The album must be released under the name The Crafty Badger’s Group. Its odd receiving a letter these days, and even odder to receive one instructing the reader to create an album. However, as luck would have it, Dan Bridge had been thinking (and speaking to a few people) about writing a couple of songs, as it had been far too long (c.10 years) since he had written anything meaningful. So he began the process of writing the album. To help bring the album to life though, Dan was going to need some help. To this end, he reached out to some ex-band mates, and so The Crafty Badger’s Group was born. The full line up for the group is: Zoe Cooper – Vocals Stuart Tuck – Backing vocals, Bass and Sound Engineer Dorriel Tulloch – Vocals Tom Minchin – Vocals Mark Neeley – Vocals Andrew Ives – Piano Dan Bridge – Guitar The album itself is rooted in guitar-based melodic rock/pop, with nods to influences such as the Beatles, Oasis, Nina Simone, Meatloaf and the Red Chili Peppers (specifically John Frusciante). It is available on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify (links below). The songs themselves represent situations that people could find themselves in, at any point during their everyday lives, and whilst at times they may seem a bit dark, they ultimately speak of hope, confidence in one’s self and survival. Its been a great journey so far, where is goes next, is anyone’s guess. The Crafty Badger’s Group are based in and around Sidcup, which is in Northwest Kent.
